Twenty-five years of building and construction management experience with a significant concentration in large scale, phased renovation projects have provided me with the expertise to identify, address and resolve complicated challenges facing owners in the current market.

Since 1989, I have completed 150 projects for a diverse array of owners in 15 plus states. I have learned the art and science of collaborative project planning and am driven to continually gain expertise. One of my fundamental beliefs is that optimal results are achieved through highly detailed-oriented planning, before construction begins. Of course, one of reasons I have a passion for construction is that it is a dynamic industry and sometimes presents the unknown. In those situations, experience really pays off.
I am fortunate to have experience working directly for owners for approximately half of the 25 years I have project managed large scale renovations and I have always considered their checkbook as my own. I’ve continued demonstrating that value in my role as a contractor and this is one of the principles of the long-standing relationships I enjoy in business.

Value engineering has become an over-used catch phrase in modern construction. However, it takes real know-how, born of actual understanding, to integrate practical alternates in the planning phase as well as delivering quickly thought out options when an unanticipated circumstance presents itself in the middle of a construction schedule (like that would ever happen!).

I believe in exceeding the expectations of owners in three ways: Superior Planning, Adherence to Project Budget and delivering Excellent Results

March 2010 to present Foundation Business Enterprises, LLC, Financial Officer.  A business venture/opportunity with a partner began in 2010 to start a company focusing on retail renovations, Foundation Business Enterprises.  Since that start, our company has focused on the delivery of an affordable and complete project for our customers.  All projects, ranging from $100,000 to 2.4 million, have remained committed to a partnership with all members of the construction process.  I believe in a strong and transparent relationship between those who contract our services all the way thru to the lowest common denominator of the construction process.  Our solid construction team strives on each project to remain constant to the customer, assuring the highest in product delivery.

September 1997 to December 2009, Sole Proprietor/owner of 2 separate entities, Sunshine Landscaping and Cyclone Grading services.  During this time my companies formed relationships and business strategies that incorporated solid customer service and value, delivering a superb product to the end customer.  Our customer base ranged from a small homeowner to a large local residential builder who demanded high volume services for negotiated values.

Our greatest strength is the ability to deliver a top quality product on schedule, on budget with minimal impact to your ongoing operation.  FBE makes every effort to be invisible to your guests while we are on the property.  By exercising the right amount of finesse, we keep your guests and staffs' lives as uninterrupted as possible, therefore ensuring revenues and guest survey scores remain at maximum levels.

Our Process

Daily logs are kept to track the job progress and site condition.

MS Project schedules are utilized and updated weekly to keep the job on track.  Updated schedules are then forwarded to all associated parties.

We hold a weekly Job Foreman's and OSHA Safety meeting to ensure a productive, safe and clean job site.

We have a weekly management/project meeting and have a questionnaire filled out by the property to make sure we are meeting everyone's expectations.

We obtain Area Sign Off Sheets for each and every area we complete to ensure there are no questions as to what was completed to your satisfaction.

We ensure all final city / county inspections are completed and obtain a Certificate of Final Completion from the owner's designated representative.  That document will accompany our final request for payment to ensure the project was completed successfully.

We provide a Close Out Booklet to the owner and their designated representative.  This booklet contains all of the subcontractor and material warranties, material specifications, sign off sheets, certificate of final completion and all municipality documentation.
